Martyn Chapman Becomes Co-Founder at adam.ai

adam.ai is pleased to announce that Martyn Chapman has become a Co-Founder, strengthening the company’s leadership as it expands its focus into governance intelligence designed for high-stakes decision-making.

As Chief Product Officer, Martyn leads the strategy and development of governance technology at adam.ai. Through his Executive Cognition Lens work, he has shaped a clear point of view on why leadership decision-making in governance settings remains underserved by traditional tools, and why AI must be designed to support how leaders actually think under pressure.

A Vision Grounded in Executive Reality

Executives face a stubborn challenge in governance environments: the information and support they receive rarely matches the realities of how they must think and decide in the room.

In high-stakes deliberations, leaders are expected to scan for purpose, weigh risks, test scenarios, connect today’s decisions to past commitments, and anticipate future consequences. Yet preparation is often late or off-lens, context from prior discussions is difficult to retrieve, and deliberation support is minimal.

Martyn’s vision is direct: leaders don’t need more information, they need intelligence that prepares them to lead.

Beyond Summaries: AI That Thinks Like a Leader

Under Martyn’s leadership, adam.ai has taken a differentiated approach to AI.

Rather than building AI as an added layer, the platform is designed to embed cognition-aware intelligence into how leaders prepare, deliberate, and decide. This includes decision-ready briefings, context continuity, risk and consequence analysis, scenario thinking, and role-shaped support for ministers, chairs, and members.

This is not about replacing judgment. It is about sharpening it, by strengthening clarity, foresight, and deliberation readiness at the top table.

Turning Cognition Into Capability

Martyn’s work also includes frameworks such as Deliberation Readiness, which blends executive behaviours, cognitive patterns, and AI support to strengthen preparation, questioning, challenge, decision confidence, and accountability.

By capturing how leaders think and mapping it directly into product capability, adam.ai aims to deliver governance intelligence that operates at the pace and complexity of modern leadership.

Looking Ahead

Martyn’s appointment as Co-Founder reflects adam.ai's long-term commitment to advancing governance as an intelligent discipline, bridging human judgment with technological precision to support stronger decisions in high-stakes environments.
